Arvind Limited has accelerated its global expansion strategy with the launch of Arvind Atelier (FZC) in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and the opening of a new Design Hub in London, strengthening the company’s presence across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the Americas.

The move reflects Arvind’s broader ambition to position itself as an integrated global sourcing and product development partner for international fashion brands at a time when supply chains are increasingly shifting toward speed, flexibility, and regionalized operations.

The newly established UAE subsidiary, officially incorporated on April 20, 2026, will operate as a strategic sourcing and logistics platform from the SAIF Zone in Sharjah, one of the Middle East’s major trade and re-export hubs.

Regulatory filings submitted by Arvind to Indian stock exchanges confirmed that Arvind Atelier (FZC) has been established as a wholly owned subsidiary focused on textile and ready-made garment trading, enabling the company to strengthen its regional market access and improve coordination between manufacturing, sourcing, and delivery operations.

At the same time, the London Design Hub is expected to deepen Arvind’s engagement with European brands through closer collaboration on trend forecasting, design development, and faster product commercialization. The expansion comes as London continues to reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading design and fashion capitals, with major creative industry events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and London Craft Week drawing global participation and highlighting the growing importance of innovation-led product ecosystems.

According to Punit Lalbhai the Vice Chairman of Arvind Limited , the expansion represents a significant milestone in Arvind’s global growth journey, enabling the company to bring design, sourcing, and execution closer to key international markets while improving responsiveness, flexibility, and responsible manufacturing capabilities for global customers.

To lead the new venture, Arvind has appointed Rakesh Chadha as Managing Director of Arvind Atelier. With more than three decades of experience in apparel sourcing, supply chain management, and international business development, Chadha will oversee regional expansion, sourcing operations, customer engagement, and strategic partnerships across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. He noted that the London hub will act as a bridge between Arvind’s manufacturing capabilities and Europe’s evolving fashion ecosystem, allowing brands to collaborate more closely on faster and more market-responsive product development.

Arvind Atelier will function as an integrated sourcing platform covering denim, shirts, casualwear, knits, sweaters, essentials, and activewear, allowing brands to consolidate multiple product categories under a single sourcing partner. The initiative is backed by Arvind’s large-scale manufacturing infrastructure.

In FY25, the company produced around 37 million garments and approximately 128 million metres of woven fabric, while maintaining annual denim manufacturing capacity exceeding 110 million metres, reinforcing its position among the world’s leading denim manufacturers.

Industry analysts view the expansion as strategically timed amid rising opportunities in Europe and the MENA region. European apparel imports reached nearly €180.5 billion in 2024, while the Middle East and Africa fashion apparel market is projected to reach around USD 172 billion in 2025 with continued long-term growth expected across the region.

The anticipated implementation of the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement is also expected to create additional momentum for Indian textile and apparel exporters by improving bilateral trade access and competitiveness in the UK market.
