Adriano Goldschmied Unveils “Indigo Chaos” with Pioneer Denim and Soko

A striking collaboration titled “Indigo Chaos” was unveiled at the Pitti Uomo trade show in Florence, blending the design legacy of Adriano Goldschmied with the premium material expertise of Pioneer Denim from Bangladesh and the innovative chemical solutions of Italian company Soko.

The 10-piece capsule collection features six women’s garments made from cotton-hemp blends and four men’s styles crafted from wool and cotton, all rooted in sartorial traditions but reimagined through cutting-edge textile finishing. Soko’s Hydrogel technology, which transforms water into a viscous gel to minimize fabric damage and dramatically reduce water usage, plays a central role in the eco-conscious production process. According to the company, this method uses up to 10 times less water than conventional denim washing techniques.

Each garment is individually tie-dyed and washed before assembly, resulting in unique visual effects when pieces are layered together. Signature tailoring details — such as denim-covered buttons and finished internal seams — highlight the craftsmanship embedded in the collection.

Women’s standout items include:

A single-button, double-breasted blazer

A belted casual jacket

A front-button corset with intricate cuts

These can be mixed with midi skirts or wide-leg pants for complete looks.

Men’s offerings include:

A blazer with chambray accents

A trench-inspired jacket

Classic pants in a tailored silhouette

“Soko demonstrates its ability to experiment with new paths and validly accompany creativity, creating new opportunities,” said Goldschmied, who is widely recognized as a pioneer in the denim world.

The launch event, hosted on June 17 in the courtyard of Soko’s Projects Division in Florence, also showcased three additional design collaborations built using the same fabrics and techniques:

A silver jewel by Pianegonda

The Delight lamp by Oceano Oltreluce, a Milanese artisan lighting company

Casual sneakers by Sturlini Firenze, a Tuscan shoemaker

While “Indigo Chaos” currently has no commercial release plans, it signals a new direction in denim — one rooted in sustainability, creativity, and cross-cultural collaboration.
