BFA members honoured with royal warrants by King Charles III

LONDON – The British Footwear Association (BFA) has announced that three of its member companies—Tricker’s, Crockett & Jones, and John Lobb—have been awarded Royal Warrants by His Majesty King Charles III, recognising their commitment to superior craftsmanship and contributions to the luxury footwear sector.

Tricker’s, a historic shoemaker based in Northampton, received the Royal Warrant as it marks its 195th anniversary, highlighting its long-standing relationship with the Royal Household. The company, famed for its meticulous 12-week production process involving 265 steps per pair, welcomed the accolade as a validation of its quality and heritage.

Crockett & Jones, another Northampton-based Goodyear-welted specialist founded in 1879, also secured a warrant in May 2024. Known for using premium European calf leathers and crafting each pair over an eight-week process, the firm praised the appointment as affirmation of its unwavering quality standards.

John Lobb, established in 1849 and renowned for bespoke, handmade-to-measure footwear, earned the Royal Warrant in recognition of its centuries-old tradition of personalised shoemaking. As a fifth-generation family business located on London’s St James’s Street, the firm continues to serve a distinguished clientele.

The Royal Warrant is one of the highest honours for British manufacturers and signifies official recognition by the Royal Household. The BFA said the awards underscore the enduring excellence and global prestige of UK-made footwear.
