German machinery manufacturer Bruckner Textile Technologies showcased its latest advancements in high-efficiency textile finishing at the ITMA Asia exhibition in Singapore, focusing on energy reduction and digital automation for the global apparel market.
The Leonberg-based company introduced the Power-Frame SFP-2, a new generation of stenter frame designed specifically for processing fabrics with high cotton content. The unit features an intelligent split-flow air circulation system and energy-efficient motors, offering a lower-investment alternative to the flagship SFP-4 model while maintaining shorter delivery cycles for manufacturers.
Sustainability remains a core theme for the 2026 showcase as the industry faces increasing regulatory pressure to reduce its carbon footprint. Bruckner’s exhibit highlighted the Power-Dry PD-1, a redesigned relax and shrink dryer for knitted fabrics that utilizes high-temperature heat pumps to enable carbon-free production.
Digitalization is also a primary focus through the introduction of ExperTex, an artificial intelligence simulation tool. The software allows plant managers to calculate the energy consumption and carbon footprint of a production run before it begins, aiming for right-first-time results that minimize textile waste and chemical usage.
Company executives noted that the integration of these digital tools into the my Bruckner customer portal provides real-time access to machine data and technical support, reflecting a broader industry move toward smart manufacturing.
Bruckner also demonstrated the Opti-Coat 2-in-1, a versatile coating unit that combines floating-knife and knife-over-cylinder technologies. The system is designed for high-precision paste and foam applications, catering to the growing technical textiles sector.
As Asian textile hubs transition toward more sustainable infrastructure, industry analysts expect the demand for German-engineered heat recovery and exhaust air purification systems to rise, positioning Bruckner as a key player in the region’s modernization efforts.
