BUFT Signs Landmark MoUs with 10 Leading Apparel Industry Partners

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) signed a series of Memoranda of Understanding with 10 major industry partners on 18 November 2025, strengthening its links with Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector.

The ceremony, held at the BUFT Multipurpose Hall, brought together senior leadership, including BUFT Board of Trustees Chairman Faruque Hassan, who attended as chief guest and represented the university at the signing. Board member Mohammed Nasir and Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan were also present.

The agreements were signed with Team Group, Giant Group, Hameem Group, Babylon Group, Eco-Tex Limited, Fakir Apparels, Sonia Sweater Group, Purbani Group, Paramount Group, and Shasha Denim.

BUFT said the partnerships are aimed at promoting practical learning, research collaboration and career development opportunities for students as part of its broader effort to bridge the academia-industry gap.

Faculty members, administrative teams, staff and students took part in organizing the event, which the university said concluded smoothly due to coordinated efforts across departments.

The university expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, noting that the agreements will support long-term industry engagement and enhance career readiness for students.
