CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has reaffirmed its position as the unified representative body of Europe’s textile machinery industry, bringing together nine national textile machinery associations under a single platform to advocate for the sector on the global stage.
The organization plays a central role in supporting European textile machinery manufacturers by safeguarding their collective interests, promoting innovation, and fostering collaboration across the international value chain. Through policy engagement, industry coordination, and the organization of world-leading exhibitions, CEMATEX continues to influence the strategic direction of textile machinery development worldwide.
CEMATEX highlighted that its mission goes beyond representation, focusing strongly on shaping the future of the industry through technological advancement, sustainability, and knowledge exchange. A key pillar of this effort is the organization’s stewardship of major global trade fairs, which serve as critical platforms for showcasing next-generation machinery, digital solutions, and sustainable manufacturing technologies.

Looking ahead, the organization described 2026 as a milestone year, with preparations progressing at full speed for ITMA Asia + CITME 2026, scheduled to be held in Shanghai in November. The event is expected to bring together leading global manufacturers, technology providers, and industry stakeholders, reflecting Asia’s growing importance in the global textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem.
At the same time, CEMATEX has begun laying the strategic and organizational groundwork for ITMA 2027, reinforcing its long-term commitment to supporting the evolution and competitiveness of the global textile machinery industry.
