Coats Footwear launches sustainable insole solutions

Coats Footwear, a division of UK-based Coats Group PLC, has announced the launch of its Insole Solutions portfolio, a comprehensive range designed to enhance sustainability, performance, and safety in footwear manufacturing.

The portfolio includes insoles made from bio-based and recycled materials, aimed at reducing environmental impact. The collection offers options suitable for various footwear types, including casual, dress, sports, outdoor, and work shoes. It features solutions for different construction methods, such as strobel-lasted, cement-lasted, and Goodyear-welted shoes.

Coats said the range integrates Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection, offering conductive, antistatic, and insulative options for workwear applications.

“Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. This launch provides manufacturers with smarter, safer, and more sustainable options for their footwear collections,” said Holger Hoffmann, Global Head of Cellulose & Channel Sales at Coats.

The launch supports Coats’ broader strategy of delivering innovative, eco-conscious solutions across the apparel and footwear industries. The company did not disclose financial details related to the new product line.
