DBL Group Earns Prestigious ‘A’ Rating from CDP for Climate Leadership

DBL Group has earned an “A” rating from CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, for its performance in emissions reduction initiatives and low-carbon product development, placing the Bangladesh-based industrial group among global leaders in climate action, transparency and corporate sustainability.

The CDP “A” rating, which is awarded to companies demonstrating advanced climate governance, comprehensive disclosure and effective risk management, marks a notable improvement over the global average “B” score. The recognition highlights DBL Group’s progress in reducing its carbon footprint and advancing industrial decarbonization in line with international climate targets.

CDP’s assessment cited DBL Group’s strong focus on low-carbon solutions, sustainable innovation and alignment with global climate goals. The company has expanded its emissions reduction initiatives across operations while integrating climate risk assessment and mitigation strategies into its core business planning, according to a statement posted on the company’s official Facebook page.

DBL Group’s Chief Sustainability Officer Mohammed Zahidullah said the rating reflects the company’s integrated sustainability roadmap, which combines governance, strategic partnerships and access to climate-focused financing to deliver commercially viable and scalable low-carbon solutions. The company said it views the recognition as an important milestone in strengthening its long-term climate strategy and supporting the global transition to a low-carbon economy.
