Venezuela’s Ministry of Industries and National Production has signed a strategic agreement with the country’s footwear industry to revitalise its domestic production chain—from raw material sourcing to finished goods marketing.
The initiative aims to unify manufacturers, tanners, suppliers, designers, and distributors under an official framework focused on local growth and sustainability. The government will offer preferential financing, technical assistance, and business advisory support to drive implementation.
At the core of the agreement is the introduction of modern production technologies, increased automation, and industry-specific vocational training to elevate productivity and quality standards. The project aligns with broader national economic development goals.
Officials emphasized that this partnership marks a shift toward a self-reliant, innovation-driven manufacturing model, with an emphasis on creating jobs and strengthening local market resilience.
The agreement was reported by Venezolana de Televisión and TV BRICS, as part of Venezuela’s push to stimulate key sectors through structured public–private collaboration.
