Hagen Lotzmann Takes the Helm at Karl Mayer Technical Textiles

Hagen Lotzmann officially became Managing Director and President of Karl Mayer Technical Textiles on 1 July 2025. A mechanical engineer by training, Lotzmann joined Karl Mayer in 2008 and has steadily advanced through key roles in development engineering, sales, product management, and application technology. His long experience gives him a deep understanding of the company’s operations and customer needs.

Lotzmann plans to strengthen the company’s Chemnitz and Selbitz sites as central hubs for service, sales, and development. He will also move production and assembly to other locations within the Karl Mayer Group to improve efficiency. “Customers can continue to rely on the quality and performance of our machines but will benefit from an even greater market orientation and a stronger focus on their needs and requirements,” he said.

He also set his sights on ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025, where he will lead Karl Mayer’s presence at Stand A301 in Hall 5 at the Singapore EXPO from 28 to 31 October 2025. Lotzmann aims to use the event to showcase new innovations, meet industry partners, and reinforce the company’s position as a leader in the technical textiles sector.
