AEPC participates in Saudi Fashion & Tex Jeddah — India Pavilion inaugurated at apparel expo

The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) of India participated in the Saudi Fashion & Tex Expo 2025 in Jeddah with 17 Indian exhibitors, joined a broader contingent of 51 Indian companies at the event.

The 3rd Saudi Fashion & Tex Expo opened in Jeddah on September 25, bringing together international designers, apparel brands, and textile suppliers. The four-day event at the Jeddah Exhibition Centre, run until September 28, emerged as a key regional platform for the fashion and textile industry in the Middle East.

The fair was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, followed by opening remarks from senior industry and diplomatic representatives, including Filiz Karakul, General Manager of the Pyramid Group; Mustafa Ünal, Consul General of Türkiye in Jeddah; Gıyasettin Eyüpkoca, President of the Apparel Committee of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce; Martina Bandte Geb Conzelmann, President of Gesamtmasche Association; Ihab Al-Qadri, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry; Karim Khouja, representative of the Damascus Chamber of Industry; Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah; and Saad Mishel Al Otaibi, Director of the Jeddah Chamber.

Following the main opening, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah, led the inauguration of the India Pavilion, visited the AEPC stall, and conversed with participating exhibitors. The pavilion attracted strong buyer footfall on its first day.

Shri Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman of AEPC, toured the exhibition, actively engaged with the Indian exhibitors under the council’s banner, and collected feedback about their experience at the fair. He also met with Mohammad Hashim, Consul (Commerce & PIC) at the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, to explore future initiatives aimed at strengthening trade relations and apparel exports between India and Saudi Arabia.

As global fashion and textile markets increasingly emphasize sustainability, traceability, and ethical supply chains, AEPC’s presence in the Saudi market signals India’s intent to expand its foothold in the Gulf region and foster deeper bilateral trade partnerships.
