The 13th Gartex Texprocess India concluded on 23 August at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, drawing a record footfall of 15,790 attendees from 436 cities across India and 31 countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Organized jointly by MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, the three-day exhibition hosted over 200 exhibitors showcasing more than 600 brands, 35 percent of which were first-time participants.
Spread over approximately 14,780 sqm, the event featured an expansive range of zones: The Denim Show, Fabrics and Trims Show, Screen Print India – Textile, and the newly launched LeatherX Pavilion. It also debuted the Textile Care Forum, developed in association with the Drycleaners and Launderers Association of India (DLAI).
From automation and AI to sustainable garment care, the expo exemplified an evolving industry. A standout session, the Textile Care Forum on 22 August, spotlighted innovations in laundry automation, green chemistry, waste reduction, and garment lifecycle optimization in compliance with EPR norms.
Exhibitors across the board praised the surge in interest for automation. Nitin Mathur, Regional Sales Manager at IIGM Private Limited, noted, “The exhibition saw excellent footfall and strong interest in automation, even among small businesses, as labour costs rise.” Meanwhile, Sai Navneethan of Ramsons Garment Finishing Equipment emphasized, “Automation is key for high-volume garment finishing. PLC-controlled systems also create more opportunities for women to lead in operations”
Echoing the sustainability wave, Aamir Akhtar, Group President & CEO of Jindal Worldwide, said: “We use water-saving technologies in our new premium line, ‘Formula 1,’ and recover used water through a zero-liquid discharge plant.” His observation reflected a growing industry commitment to eco-friendly processes.

Visitors, too, lauded the showcase’s relevance. Sanjay Vala of Kanchan Fabrics, a uniform manufacturer, said discovering a care system inspired him to implement it at his own facility. Meanwhile, Sarfaraj Patel, MD of Pan Gujarat, praised the variety of fresh, innovative fabrics on display.
Looking Ahead: Mumbai Edition Set for April 2026
Following New Delhi’s success, the expo series will move to Mumbai, scheduled for 9–11 April 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. This edition is expected to build on the core themes of automation and sustainability, further expanding the platform’s national footprint.
State-Level Engagement: Uttar Pradesh Leverages Platform at Gartex Mumbai
At the Mumbai leg in May 2025, Uttar Pradesh utilized the expo to pitch its robust, investor-friendly textile ecosystem. Officials from Invest UP and the state’s handloom and textiles department showcased flagship initiatives—such as the PM MITRA Park, industrial corridors, and integrated textile parks—to drive investment into textile clusters. They emphasized the state’s advantages: abundant skilled labor, streamlined infrastructure, power surplus, and attractive incentives.
