Pacsun is stepping beyond its familiar lineup of licensed graphic tees and swim trunks with the launch of Field of Study by Pacsun, a new in-house men’s collection designed to bring premium, purposeful apparel to its summer offering. The Southern California-based brand is focusing on elevated fabrications, refined garment construction, and contemporary silhouettes to meet growing consumer demand for quality and style.
The Field of Study collection features a range of essentials including camp shirts, baggy shirts, crew neck and collared sweaters, boxy cropped zip jackets, collared long sleeves, trousers, and basic tees and tanks. Denim lovers will appreciate the $95 baggy jeans crafted from Japanese selvedge denim. Neutral tones dominate the lineup, delivering a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
With prices ranging from $25 to $150, the collection aims to appeal not only to Pacsun’s core Gen Z and Millennial customers but also to a more mature audience seeking timeless yet modern pieces. Although positioned within the men’s category, Field of Study is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all consumers.
Richard Cox, Pacsun’s Chief Merchandising Officer, explained that the label is a response to a “clear demand” for premium designs, inspired by the success of brand collaborations like The Met, Fear of God Essentials, and Rare DNM Edit. He added, “Field of Study reflects a new era of maturity among our community, while still nodding to Pacsun’s relaxed, creative energy. We’re noticing customers investing more in pieces with staying power and their appreciation for quality. This label provides staples that refine personal style but also grow with them as they do.”
Field of Study by Pacsun signals a strategic shift for the retailer, emphasizing elevated basics with an eye on longevity and style evolution as its audience matures.
