Following its success at Texworld New York earlier this year and as the recent winner of the Techtextil North America Innovation Award in the “New Product” category, the TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer will once again be showcased at Texworld Textile Sourcing New York City.
Developed in Leipzig, Germany, the TSA digitizes key haptic properties such as softness, smoothness, and stretch/recovery, providing objective, repeatable measurements by simulating the human hand. Originally designed for the tissue paper industry, it has been adapted for textiles and nonwovens to help manufacturers and designers optimize products, processes, and communication across the textile supply chain.
Paired with the cloud-based Virtual Haptic Library, the TSA enables global collaboration, reduces ecological impact, and accelerates time-to-market. These digital tools support Industry 4.0 by integrating intelligent data, cloud platforms, and automation throughout the product lifecycle.
Alexander Gruener, emtec’s Global Business Development Manager, along with Rodger Segelstrom from emtec North America, will demonstrate the TSA and present insights on July 24 at 2:15 pm. Visitors are invited to booth H01 to explore the latest innovations, see live demonstrations, and engage with experts.
