Shima Seiki to Present WHOLEGARMENT Tech at Preview in Seoul 2025

Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. and its Korean subsidiary Shima Seiki Korea Inc. will take center stage at the 26th edition of Preview in Seoul, scheduled from 20 to 22 August 2025 at COEX, Seoul.

They’ll demonstrate two compact SWG091N2 WHOLEGARMENT knitting machines, available in both 10-gauge and 15-gauge models. These machines can knit complete items—like gloves, hats, socks, scarves, dog wear, smartphone covers, bags, and even footwear uppers—without any sewing or linking.

Attendees can watch live knitting demonstrations, featuring non-apparel items like sauna hats and room shoes, showcasing the versatility of WHOLEGARMENT technology. The exhibit will also spotlight the SDS-ONE APEX4 design system and the APEXFiz subscription-based software, which streamline the creation process from planning to ultra-realistic virtual sampling. These digital prototypes help brands cut physical sampling time, cost, and waste—while enabling demand testing via e-commerce platforms.

By merging virtual sampling with WHOLEGARMENT knitting, Shima Seiki promotes demand-driven, sustainable manufacturing and inventory optimization, moving the fashion supply chain toward digital transformation.

Since 1995, Shima Seiki has led the field in WHOLEGARMENT technology and today holds over 2,900 patents and pending patents worldwide. Its design systems continue to drive digital creativity across the fashion industry.
