Indonesian textile manufacturer PT Embee Plumbon Tekstil, one of the most modern spinning mills in Southeast Asia, has taken a major step forward in operational efficiency by installing its second Rieter compact-spinning system, mirroring the success of the first facility inaugurated in 2018.
Located in Plumbon, the new spinning mill is equipped with 40,000 spindles, matching the capacity of its predecessor. The fully integrated system spans the entire spinning process—from fiber preparation to winding—and is underpinned by the Rieter Digital Spinning Suite ESSENTIAL, which enables real-time monitoring, data analysis, and predictive maintenance for consistent product quality and smoother operations.
Upgrades to machine lineup
In addition to the compact-spinning system, Embee replaced its first-generation air-jet spinners with the high-performance J 70 model, significantly enhancing production output and yarn quality.

The new facility incorporates elite Rieter machinery: the C 80 carding machine, E 90 comber, K 47 compact-spinning machine, and the Autoconer X6 automatic winding machine. These components collectively deliver enhanced productivity, energy efficiency, and process reliability.
Digitally driven efficiency
The ESSENTIAL digital suite ensures transparent, data-driven oversight across the spinning process. Early detection of deviations enables proactive interventions, reducing downtime and maintaining high-quality output. The digital capabilities also allow Embee to respond swiftly to market demands by fine-tuning production parameters in real time.
