The Global Sourcing Expo Sydney has cemented its position as Australia’s premier international sourcing event, drawing a record 5,434 unique visitors to the International Convention Centre from 17–19 June 2025 — a 22% increase compared to last year.
This year’s Expo brought together 542 exhibitors from 17 countries including India, Vietnam, Türkiye, Nepal, and Indonesia, showcasing a diverse range of offerings across apparel, textiles, accessories, footwear, and homewares. The event served as a key platform for connecting Australian buyers with global manufacturers and suppliers.
Julie Holt, Event Director at International Expo Group, stated that the growth in attendance reflects the rising global appetite for dependable, face-to-face sourcing opportunities and highlights the event’s strength in delivering meaningful business connections.
In addition to the high visitor turnout, 1,044 attendees returned on separate days, showing a strong interest in extended networking, learning, and sourcing opportunities. Post-event feedback revealed that every surveyed attendee connected with new suppliers. Many also indicated plans to place orders with exhibitors and expressed confidence in recommending the event to industry peers.
The Expo drew a high-profile crowd, including directors, CEOs, creative heads, and lead buyers—over 70% of whom held final decision-making authority. Attendees praised the show for eliminating language and online barriers, with some highlighting that they discovered accredited suppliers and unique materials not easily found online.
The Global Sourcing Expo now looks ahead to its Melbourne edition, scheduled for 18–20 November 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organisers are already preparing to welcome exhibitors and attendees for what promises to be another dynamic and impactful trade event.
