The acquisition, announced on July 28, aligns with Veolia’s Green Up strategic plan and expands the company’s services across more than 200 sites in the U.S., employing over 2,300 people. Chameleon’s operations, which include four production facilities in Texas, Oregon, and Arizona, specialize in repurposing byproducts from semiconductor manufacturing for industrial reuse—offering sustainable alternatives and reducing environmental waste.

“Adding this critical circular economy technology to our portfolio enhances our ability to serve advanced manufacturing and technology customers,” said Bob Cappadona, CEO of Veolia North America’s Environmental Solutions and Services division. “Chameleon is a great strategic and cultural fit.”

Chameleon’s proprietary processes transform semiconductor waste into useful specialty chemical products, contributing to improved resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental compliance for high-tech industries.

“Joining Veolia enables us to scale our impact,” said Jared Garza, CEO of Chameleon Industries. “Our team now has the opportunity to expand our technology to a broader segment of the global microelectronics sector.”

Strategic Significance

  • Enhances Veolia’s advanced recycling and repurposing capabilities
  • Supports U.S. manufacturers in technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and agriculture chemicals
  • Reinforces Veolia’s commitment to sustainability, supply chain stewardship, and innovation

Veolia, already a leading provider of integrated environmental services in the United States, continues to invest in sustainable technologies—including recycling of wind turbine blades and recovery of industrial solvents.
