June 2025 — Renowned designer Willy Chavarria has dropped his latest Adidas Originals collaboration at Paris Fashion Week, unveiling futuristic sneaker designs and apparel steeped in cultural storytelling. The collection introduces the tech-heavy Megaride AG and Megaride XL—chunky, sci-fi-inspired silhouettes—as well as a dramatic remix of the iconic Superstar sneaker, now featuring a distinctive rose motif in place of the traditional shell toe.
The collab also features a sleek, pointed leather version of the 1970s Jabbar sneaker and apparel pieces that include oversized track sets, relaxed shorts, and graphic tops bearing bold messages like “CHICANO,” reflecting Chavarria’s roots and social vision.
Despite the fashion-forward aesthetic, Chavarria emphasizes that the collection is driven by meaning and identity rather than trend. Events celebrating the release have taken place in Adidas’ Melrose Avenue store in LA, complete with community elements like tacos, lowriders, and music.
With drops already rolled out in May and July, and more to come through 2025, the designer continues to push boundaries with a strong narrative voice in fashion. The partnership hints at a long-term creative direction that blends cultural pride, streetwear, and technical innovation.
