CHT Group has released a new application brochure detailing its BEMACID acid dyes and BEMAPLEX metal complex dyes, aiming to help textile manufacturers achieve more consistent and efficient dyeing results on polyamide and wool fibers.
The German specialty chemicals company said the guide offers practical direction on dyeing methods, fastness properties, color build-up and auxiliary selection for the two fiber types, which remain widely used across fashion, sportswear, functional textiles and technical applications.
CHT positioned the BEMACID and BEMAPLEX product lines as coordinated dye systems designed to deliver tone-in-tone color build-up, a feature the company said supports more predictable shade matching across production batches. The dyes are also formulated to provide levelness and reproducibility, addressing common pain points for mills working with polyamide and wool, where uneven dye uptake can lead to costly reprocessing or rejected lots.

Beyond consistency, the company emphasized performance outcomes, saying the dye systems combine brilliant shade options with strong wet and light fastness. Fastness properties are a persistent concern for brands sourcing polyamide-based sportswear and technical fabrics, where garments face repeated washing, perspiration exposure and sunlight during use.

CHT said the brochure is intended to serve as a technical reference for dye house operators and technicians navigating shade selection and auxiliary pairing decisions, rather than a general marketing overview. The company framed the release as part of its broader push to combine textile finishing expertise with its specialty chemicals portfolio.
“At CHT Group, we combine extensive expertise in textile finishing with a strong foundation in specialty chemicals,” the company said in a statement announcing the brochure. “The result: perfectly coordinated, highly efficient and application-oriented solutions that support safe, economical and sustainable dyeing processes.”
The emphasis on safety and sustainability reflects mounting pressure across the dye and chemicals supply chain, as apparel brands and mills face tightening regulatory scrutiny over chemical inputs in textile production, particularly in key sourcing markets across Asia and Europe. Acid and metal complex dyes have faced increased attention in recent years amid broader industry efforts to reduce water use, energy consumption and chemical discharge associated with wet processing.
Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, and wool remain staple fibers for CHT’s target markets, spanning activewear, outerwear and performance textiles where durability and colorfastness are critical purchasing criteria for brands. Metal complex dyes such as BEMAPLEX are typically favored for applications requiring high fastness with simplified application procedures, while acid dyes like BEMACID are used where brighter, more vibrant shades are prioritized.
CHT did not disclose specific customers or regions targeted for the brochure’s rollout, but the company said the full application guide is available through a link shared alongside its announcement.
CHT Group, headquartered in Tübingen, Germany, supplies specialty chemicals across textile, construction, adhesives and other industrial sectors, with a textile chemicals division that serves dyeing, finishing and functional treatment processes worldwide.
