The CHT Group will present a portfolio of sustainable textile innovations at the PERFORMANCE DAYS SPRING Functional Fabric Fair in Munich on March 18–19, 2026, highlighting water-saving dyeing technologies and performance finishes designed to extend garment life and support circularity.
The Germany-based specialty chemicals company said its exhibition will focus on advanced dyeing processes and functional textile treatments aimed at reducing environmental impact while improving durability and performance.
Among the key highlights is PIGMENTURA by CHT, a pigment-based dyeing technology that significantly reduces water and energy use during the coloration process. Unlike conventional dyeing methods, PIGMENTURA eliminates the need for water-intensive soaping and rinsing stages and avoids energy-heavy heating of process water. According to the company, the system can cut water consumption in dyeing by up to 96 percent.
The innovation has already received industry recognition, earning the German Federal Ecodesign Award in the Product category in 2024 and the German Sustainability Award in the Products category in 2026. CHT positions the technology as a breakthrough solution for textile manufacturers seeking to reduce resource consumption and meet increasingly stringent environmental standards.
Durability will also be a central theme at CHT’s booth. The company will present BeSo®STRONG, a textile finishing solution designed to enhance abrasion resistance and extend garment lifespan. The technology improves wear resistance without compromising comfort or appearance, making it suitable for workwear, outerwear, knitwear, and everyday clothing.
BeSo®STRONG can be applied to knitted and woven fabrics made from cellulose fibers and blends, including recycled cotton. By increasing product longevity, the finish supports waste reduction and lowers the overall environmental footprint associated with textile production and disposal. The company emphasizes that extending garment life is a key lever in reducing resource consumption across the apparel value chain.
In addition to durability and dyeing efficiency, CHT will introduce ARRISTAN rAIR, a hydrophilic finish made from recycled PET flakes. The solution enhances moisture management, quick-drying performance, and dirt repellency, making it particularly suited to sportswear and functional textiles. ARRISTAN rAIR is compatible with recycled yarns and fabrics and can be integrated into circular production models where materials are designed for recyclability after use.
The company said ARRISTAN rAIR represents a practical contribution to the circular textile economy by supporting repeated recycling cycles while maintaining performance characteristics demanded by consumers and brands.
