Source Fashion, one of Europe’s largest responsible fashion sourcing exhibitions, will open next week at Olympia London, bringing together global apparel manufacturers, retailers and sourcing executives as the industry grapples with mounting pressure to build more transparent and resilient supply chains.
Running from Jan. 13 to Jan. 15, the three-day event is expected to host more than 250 audited manufacturers from over 20 sourcing regions, spanning apparel, textiles, trims and production services. Organisers say the focus this season is on commercially viable responsible manufacturing, at a time when brands are reassessing supplier bases amid rising costs, regulatory scrutiny and geopolitical uncertainty.
Major fashion retailers, wholesalers and brand owners from the UK and international markets have registered to attend, reinforcing Source Fashion’s position as a key meeting point for both established groups and emerging labels seeking direct access to verified producers and shorter, more traceable supply chains.
A notable addition to this edition is the launch of a bursary-backed British Pavilion, aimed at increasing the visibility of UK manufacturers within a global sourcing environment traditionally dominated by overseas production hubs. The initiative provides selected British suppliers with subsidised exhibition space and dedicated marketing support, helping smaller producers overcome cost barriers to international trade events.
Organisers say the move reflects growing buyer interest in near-shore and small-batch production, driven by demand for flexibility, faster lead times and improved oversight. The pavilion forms part of a broader strategy to promote a more balanced sourcing ecosystem that values domestic capability alongside global manufacturing networks.
British exhibitors will also feature across the wider show floor, highlighting ongoing demand for locally produced, traceable and technically specialised manufacturing within a global sourcing strategy.
“British manufacturing has an essential role to play in the future of responsible fashion,” said Suzanne Ellingham, event director at Source Fashion. “From heritage skills to agile production, UK suppliers offer the transparency and flexibility buyers are increasingly seeking.”
Beyond sourcing, the exhibition will host a programme of panel discussions, debates and workshops addressing issues such as supply-chain accountability, circular business models, regulatory compliance and long-term commercial resilience. The content agenda is designed to provide practical guidance rather than theoretical discussion, reflecting industry demand for actionable solutions.
The show will also feature a live catwalk showcasing responsibly produced collections, as well as a new interactive area, Fashion Deconstructed, offering behind-the-scenes demonstrations of garment construction, repair, upcycling and material innovation. Organisers say the initiative responds to buyer demand for deeper understanding of production processes and materials.
As fashion companies face tightening sustainability rules in Europe and rising scrutiny from consumers and investors, Source Fashion aims to position itself as a platform where commercial sourcing decisions and responsible manufacturing practices increasingly intersect.
