She succeeds Monique Leeuwenburgh, who is set to retire in October after seven years with M&S. During her tenure, Leeuwenburgh played a pivotal role in strengthening supplier partnerships, modernizing sourcing operations, and advancing the retailer’s sustainability agenda.

M&S Managing Director for Fashion, Home & Beauty, John Lyttle, credited her leadership for driving significant transformation across the company’s international sourcing network.

Robson joins M&S from Vogue Sourcing UK, where she served as Chief Operating Officer and helped steer the company through a period of strategic growth and operational transformation.

Vogue Sourcing UK maintains sourcing and operational offices across key apparel manufacturing markets, including Bangladesh, China, India, Türkiye, Morocco, Spain, and Australia, giving Robson extensive experience in managing complex multinational sourcing operations.

Her career spans more than three decades in global fashion sourcing and supply chain leadership. She previously served as Managing Director of Next Sourcing Limited in Hong Kong, overseeing sourcing strategies across Asia, while also building deep expertise in Bangladesh, India, Southern Europe, and the Far East.

Beyond corporate leadership, Robson founded luxury womenswear label lsabi and established JRB Fashion, an international buying and sourcing consultancy that she led for over 14 years, advising brands on product development, sourcing strategy, and supply chain optimization.

In addition to her executive roles, Robson has contributed to the wider fashion industry through advisory and non-executive positions with Threadbare, Fanfare Label, My Wardrobe HQ, and the British Fashion Council, reflecting her influence in shaping responsible sourcing practices and supporting emerging fashion businesses.

Academically, she completed studies in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge and is an alumna of Manchester Metropolitan University’s Clothing and Footwear Institute. The university later awarded her an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration in recognition of her contribution to the global fashion industry.

The appointment comes as M&S continues accelerating the transformation of its Fashion, Home & Beauty business, with a strong emphasis on faster product development, strategic supplier partnerships, digital supply chain capabilities, and sustainability.

The retailer sources products from major manufacturing hubs including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China, while maintaining long-standing supplier relationships and expanding traceability, ethical sourcing, and human rights initiatives throughout its global supply chain.

For Bangladesh, Robson’s appointment is particularly noteworthy given her extensive sourcing experience in the country and M&S’s longstanding sourcing presence there. As one of the UK’s leading fashion retailers continues to strengthen its sourcing network and sustainability strategy, the leadership change is expected to further deepen collaboration with key manufacturing partners across Bangladesh and other major sourcing markets.
