Spanish textile recycler Recover launched its first global brand campaign on Tuesday, urging the fashion and textile industries to give proven recycled cotton solutions the same attention as emerging recycling technologies.

Titled “REAL. Today, Not Someday.”, the campaign argues that the sustainability debate has tilted toward future innovation while solutions already delivering measurable environmental benefits receive less recognition. It will run through the fourth quarter of 2026 across industry events, print, digital channels and targeted activations.

Recover said its recycled cotton was used in more than 200 million garments in 2025, a figure the company cited as evidence that its technology has moved beyond pilot stage and into global supply chains.

“Our industry spends a lot of time talking about what sustainability could look like in five or ten years,” said Boris Mercier, chief marketing officer at Recover. “That conversation is important. But so is recognizing the solutions that are already available today.”

The campaign is built around the word REAL, which the company uses to frame several claims about its fibre. These include industrial-scale production supported by a global network of recycling hubs, a triple traceability approach combining Global Recycled Standard certification with physical and digital tracers, and a mechanical recycling process that preserves the natural characteristics of cotton. Recover also points to responsible business practices spanning environmental, social and governance areas.

The company said the campaign does not dismiss next-generation technologies and that it continues to invest in innovation alongside its commercial operations. Mercier said faster industry progress would require both future innovation and real-world execution.

Recover describes itself as a materials science company and global producer of recycled cotton fibres and circular material solutions offering consistent, high-quality performance at scale. Further campaign details and media assets are available on its campaign website.
