Founder and Chairman of KDS Group Khalilur Rahman, has been elected as the new President of the Bangladesh Inland Container Depot Association (BICDA). He officially took charge on 2nd July, following the resignation of outgoing president Nurul Qayyum Khan due to health concerns.
A broadly respected business leader Khalilur Rahman, brings decades of experience across multiple sectors, including steel, textiles, ICT, shipping, and logistics. Under his leadership, KDS Group—founded in 1983—has grown into a leading Bangladeshi conglomerate with global reach.
His appointment was unanimously endorsed during BICDA’s general meeting, reflecting strong member confidence in his leadership. Industry insiders expect his presidency to steer BICDA with strategic vision at a time when efficient logistics and container handling are vital to sustaining Bangladesh’s export growth.
