ReHubs, the European textile-to-textile recycling initiative, has entered into a collaboration with sustainability advisory firm Systemiq Ltd to accelerate the development of circular textile systems across Europe, the organisations said in a LinkedIn post.

Under the collaboration, Systemiq will join ReHubs as a knowledge partner, providing strategic guidance to help shape the initiative’s roadmap and strengthen its role as an industry convenor. The partnership aims to support more coordinated action among brands, recyclers, policymakers and technology providers as Europe pushes to scale textile recycling capacity.

ReHubs said Systemiq’s expertise in systems change and circular economy strategy will contribute to the co-development of high-impact insights designed to inform decision-making and unlock progress in textile-to-textile recycling. The initiative is positioning itself as a platform to align stakeholders around practical pathways for scaling recycling infrastructure and demand for recycled fibres.

Systemiq said the collaboration reflects its focus on building credible, system-level solutions to complex sustainability challenges, including the transition to circular materials. The partnership comes as the European Union advances regulatory measures on waste reduction, extended producer responsibility and recycled content, increasing pressure on the fashion and textile industry to accelerate circularity.
