A Bangladesh delegation visited specialty chemicals company RUDOLF’s headquarters in Geretsried, Germany, as part of a GIZ-supported knowledge exchange programme focused on chemical management, sustainability and industrial safety.
The visit examined how product safety, chemical compliance, sustainability, certification systems and environmental, health and safety (EHS) management are implemented in the European chemical industry, RUDOLF said in a recent LinkedIn update.
The programme included expert presentations and a tour of RUDOLF’s production site, giving participants practical exposure to chemical management systems and European industry practices.
The exchange is relevant to Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector, where manufacturers face growing pressure from international buyers and regulators to strengthen chemical safety, environmental compliance and supply-chain sustainability.

The programme was supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, which works with stakeholders in Bangladesh on sustainable economic development and environmental issues.
RUDOLF said the knowledge exchange provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences and explore approaches to responsible chemical management.
For Bangladesh’s export-oriented textile industry, stronger chemical management and compliance systems are increasingly important as global supply chains place greater emphasis on product safety, sustainability and responsible production.
The visit highlights the role of international knowledge-sharing programmes in helping industry stakeholders understand evolving environmental and chemical-management expectations in global markets.
