M.Y Bari Mills Pvt Ltd has won the Sustainability Reporting Award under the Green Pakistan Project, underscoring the Pakistani textile manufacturer’s growing focus on environmental, social and governance compliance.

The company said the award recognises its commitment to transparent sustainability reporting and responsible industrial practices aligned with international ESG standards. Sustainability reporting has become a key benchmark for textile exporters as global buyers increasingly demand accountability across supply chains.

M.Y Bari Mills, which produces home textile products for international markets, has invested in energy efficiency, renewable power and water conservation as part of its long-term sustainability strategy. The company operates an advanced effluent treatment plant using membrane bioreactor technology, enabling substantial water recovery and reuse in production.

Its facilities are certified to manufacture OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN products, a label that verifies environmentally friendly production, safe chemical management and socially responsible working conditions. Industry observers say recognition under initiatives such as the Green Pakistan Project enhances supplier credibility at a time when apparel and home textile brands are tightening ESG requirements and traceability standards for sourcing partners.

M.Y Bari Mills said sustainability reporting is embedded into its business planning process and will continue to guide investments aimed at improving environmental performance, governance transparency and worker welfare.
