Carbon Fiber Conversions, a technology specialist founded more than a decade ago, focuses on the preparation and processing of recycled carbon fibers. Through this partnership, the company aims to strengthen the commercialization of its recycled carbon fiber products in new markets.

Barnet, which has more than 125 years of experience in the global fiber industry, will leverage its international sales network to support the growth of CarboFlow, a recycled carbon fiber material developed by CFC.

CarboFlow is made entirely from recycled carbon fibers and is designed to deliver consistent mechanical properties for reinforcing thermoplastic compounds used in industrial applications.

Since its introduction, more than 5,000 tons of CarboFlow have already been delivered for series production applications, demonstrating strong demand for recycled carbon fiber solutions across manufacturing sectors.

The material can be integrated into high-performance plastics and engineered components, helping manufacturers reduce material waste and improve the sustainability profile of advanced composite materials.

By adding CarboFlow to its portfolio, Barnet aims to expand its range of sustainable material solutions alongside its existing high-performance carbon fiber products.

CFC’s processing technologies enable recycled carbon fibers to be used in industrial compounding processes, including gravimetric feeding systems commonly used in thermoplastic manufacturing.

Dr. Marcel Sittel-Faraj, founder of Carbon Fiber Conversions, said the partnership will help accelerate the adoption of recycled carbon fiber materials in global markets.

“By combining our technical expertise with Barnet’s global sales strength, we are creating a strong platform for growth and innovation,” Sittel-Faraj said.

Barnet also emphasized the potential to expand sustainable materials solutions through collaboration.

Jan Druve, category manager for carbon at Barnet, said the company sees strong opportunities for recycled carbon fibers as industries seek more sustainable material options.

“CFC’s products and technical expertise are the perfect fit to expand our current efforts in recycling carbon fibers,” Druve said.

“Together, we can tap into new markets and offer our customers worldwide efficient and sustainable solutions.”

The partnership reflects growing interest in circular material solutions within advanced manufacturing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, consumer goods and industrial engineering.

Recycled carbon fiber technologies are gaining attention as manufacturers look for ways to reduce production waste and lower the environmental impact of composite materials.

By combining recycling technologies with global distribution capabilities, the two companies aim to accelerate the adoption of recycled carbon fiber materials across multiple industries.
