A Tall Box, a new denim label built exclusively for tall women, will officially launch in September 2026, with preorders opening in August at atallbox.com, the company said. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based brand is entering the market as one of the first premium denim lines designed specifically around true tall proportions paired with body-shape-conscious fits, aiming to close a gap that has long left tall customers choosing between length, shape and quality rather than getting all three.

Founded by Anastasia de Jong, A Tall Box combines premium construction, extended proportions and shape-specific cuts into a single collection, addressing what the brand describes as a persistent shortfall in women’s denim, where tall shoppers have typically had to sacrifice fit or elevate their budget just to find jeans that reach their ankles.

De Jong said the concept grew from her own experience of feeling that her body did not fit the clothing available to her, a frustration she said she later saw repeated constantly among customers during her time in fashion retail. She said that pattern, combined with her background as a Walmart buyer and sales leader, pointed to a clear opening in the market that A Tall Box was built to fill, with the goal of helping tall women feel seen and confident in denim made for their height, proportions and shape.

The debut Staple Collection is designed for women 5-foot-9 and above and includes three fits: Classic Slim, Curvy Slim and The Girlfriend. The Classic Slim targets rectangle and apple body shapes, the Curvy Slim is built for pear and hourglass shapes, and the Girlfriend Fit offers a relaxed silhouette intended to work across body types. Each style will be available in 35-inch and 37-inch inseams, spanning waist sizes 24 through 38, giving the line more depth than typical tall-size add-on ranges from mainstream denim retailers.

The launch will run as a limited first production batch, priced at $200 per pair. Each jean is constructed from 13-ounce denim with stretch and recovery properties and a high cotton content, reflecting a positioning the company describes as the opposite of fast fashion. A Tall Box said construction choices spanning fabric density, wash processing, fit architecture and finishing were intended to produce a durable, long-wearing garment designed to move from daytime to evening while holding its shape over repeated wear, rather than a seasonal or disposable product.

A Tall Box also said it is building community partnerships with organizations aligned with a broader mission of supporting women, with further details expected to be announced next month. The company was founded in Northwest Arkansas by de Jong, who runs the business alongside her husband and business partner, Stefan de Jong.

The launch adds to a small but expanding set of U.S. apparel brands built around tall-specific sizing, a segment that mainstream denim retailers have historically underserved relative to petite and plus-size categories, where inclusive sizing initiatives have advanced further in recent years. By pairing extended inseam lengths with shape-specific cuts rather than a single elongated silhouette, A Tall Box is betting that fit precision, not simply added length, will differentiate it in a denim market already crowded with size-inclusive and body-positive positioning from larger competitors.

The brand’s direct-to-consumer model and premium price point also position it closer to elevated denim labels than to basics-driven tall-size lines that have previously served the category primarily through length extensions alone. Whether that positioning translates into scale beyond a limited debut run will likely depend on how quickly A Tall Box can expand its size range, silhouette offering and retail distribution once the initial collection reaches customers in September.
