Bangladesh is set to showcase its products, services and investment opportunities on the global stage through the Made in Bangladesh Expo 2026, an international trade exhibition that will bring together exporters, global buyers, investors and business leaders in the United Kingdom this September.
The expo, jointly organised by the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB) and Made in Bangladesh Expo Limited, will be held from September 4 to 6, 2026, at Redbridge Town Hall in London. Organisers announced the event at a press conference in Dhaka, describing it as a strategic initiative to strengthen Bangladesh’s global trade footprint and attract new business opportunities.
The exhibition aims to promote Bangladesh’s growing industrial and economic capabilities by highlighting key sectors including ready-made garments, information and communication technology (ICT), pharmaceuticals, leather and leather goods, jute and jute-based products, agro-processed food and renewable energy. Organisers said the event will serve as a platform to connect Bangladeshi businesses with international buyers while encouraging foreign direct investment.
More than 50 Bangladeshi exhibitors are expected to participate, alongside over 3,000 international buyers, investors and business representatives from different countries. The event will also bring together representatives from chambers of commerce, industry associations, entrepreneurs and members of the Bangladeshi business diaspora in the UK, creating opportunities for business networking, B2B meetings and long-term commercial partnerships.

Speaking at the press conference, Liton Ahmed, Founder and Director of Made in Bangladesh Expo, said the initiative would help expand Bangladesh’s export markets, attract foreign investment and further strengthen trade relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
“The expo will create new international market opportunities for Bangladeshi businesses while presenting Bangladesh as a reliable global sourcing and investment destination,” he said.
Organisers added that the exhibition will include business matchmaking sessions, networking events and discussions aimed at fostering collaboration between Bangladeshi exporters and overseas companies. They believe the platform will support the country’s export diversification efforts beyond its globally competitive ready-made garment industry.
Bangladesh has increasingly expanded its export portfolio in recent years through sectors such as pharmaceuticals, ICT services, leather products, agro-processing and renewable energy technologies. The London exhibition is expected to reinforce the country’s image as an emerging manufacturing and investment hub while helping local businesses establish new international partnerships.
Among those involved in organising the event are Antu Karim, Director of Made in Bangladesh Expo; Mainul Hossain, Director; Niazul Islam Rony, Chief Coordinator; Farzana Islam Maury, Coordinator; and Tribeni Alice, Coordinator.
The United Kingdom remains one of Bangladesh’s largest export destinations, particularly for apparel products. Organisers expressed confidence that the expo would contribute to increasing bilateral trade, attracting new investments and enhancing Bangladesh’s global economic presence ahead of its transition from Least Developed Country (LDC) status.
