Kingpins Amsterdam held its autumn edition on October 14-15 at the SugarFactory in Halfweg, where fibre makers and denim mills launched new collections focused on recycled content, comfort and lower-carbon materials.

Austrian fibre producer Lenzing and Japanese denim maker Kaihara Corporation unveiled the REMOD Collection at Lenzing’s Booth 19. It is built around three TENCEL fibres designed for denim: Lyocell Standard, Lyocell HV100 and Lyocell Dtex 2.2. Lenzing also announced the third cohort of its TENCEL Lyocell HV100 mill partner network, which now spans nearly 50 mills in 13 countries. The fibre first launched at the same show in October 2025 with 17 mills across five countries, and the network had grown to 37 mills in nine countries by April 2026.

The LYCRA Company introduced two products at its White 3 stand: LYCRA VintageFX EcoMade fabric for denim and COOLMAX CloakFX fibre for wovens. The company said the denim solution helps mills, brands and retailers create heritage-inspired fabrics without sacrificing fit, recovery or durability. It also showed Reflex fabrics from Advance Denim made with LYCRA VintageFX fibre, alongside its Naturalls capsule collection.

Newcomers also made their mark. MK SONS Denim Research debuted in the Green Area with a model that links a specialist denim development studio with industrial garment manufacturing under the message “We understand denim.” Organisers had earlier said Made in España would debut in Amsterdam with a mix of denim mills, machinery and solutions providers.

The launches show how the denim supply chain is competing on sustainability credentials and responsible materials as brands plan upcoming seasons. Kingpins, founded in New York in 2004, says it is committed to bringing sustainability and best practices to the industry. Amsterdam is regarded as the largest edition in its calendar.
