Pakistani denim maker Meko Denim Mills has introduced Indigo Botanica, a digital print denim collection that applies botanical patterns to cotton fabric, as South Asian mills lean on design-led products to win global buyers.
The Karachi-based company presented the range in a social media post, saying it brings botanical elegance to classic denim through texture, pattern and style. It closed the announcement with its brand tagline, “Innovation Woven In.”
The lead fabric, article MDX-016 Semibleach, is 100% cotton in a semi-white shade, according to the specification sheet shown in the social media post. It has a finished weight of 11.50, with a 5% tolerance, and a finished width of 62 to 63 inches. Shrinkage is listed at 0% to minus 3% in both warp and weft.

Meko did not disclose pricing, minimum order quantities or a firm commercial launch date. The post carried a sustainability hashtag, but the company gave no environmental data specific to the new range.
Meko was incorporated in 2021 and belongs to the Mekotex Group, which was founded in Karachi in 1979, according to the Pakistan Credit Rating Agency. The rating agency says Meko handles spinning, weaving and processing of denim fabric, and its products include coarse yarn, denim fabric, denim jeans and knit garments.
The company describes itself as a vertically integrated manufacturer serving menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and workwear customers across Asia, Europe, North America and South America. Its listed certifications include GOTS, GRS, BCI, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
The rating agency assigned Meko long-term and short-term ratings of BBB+ and A2 in December 2023 and maintained them a year later. Local customers accounted for 71.8% of sales at that time, and the company was expanding in international denim and knit garment markets, signalling a gradual shift toward export growth.
