The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is set to host two major virtual events next week, bringing together cotton-sector stakeholders from across the globe for high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.
The BCI Programme Partner Meeting 2026 will begin on Wednesday, 21 January, uniting field-level partners from multiple regions to review progress, share innovative practices, and align on future priorities. The meeting will feature insights from BCI topic experts alongside a keynote address by Ben Ramalingam, author of Aid on the Edge of Chaos.

The symposium will focus on shared challenges and emerging opportunities facing large-scale cotton producers, with an emphasis on sustainability, resilience, and long-term sector viability.
A key highlight of the symposium will be an address by Antonio Cabrera, President of the Cabrera Group and former Minister of Agriculture and Land Reform of Brazil. Cabrera will speak on the critical role of sustainability in safeguarding the future of the global cotton sector.
The Large Farm Symposium will be available in English, Portuguese, Turkish, Urdu, and Uzbek, reinforcing BCI’s commitment to inclusive global engagement.
Together, the two events underscore BCI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration across its global network and accelerate progress toward more sustainable cotton production worldwide.
