German specialty chemicals maker CHT Group has expanded its BEZAKTIV S-W portfolio with the launch of two new reactive dyes, aiming to strengthen design flexibility while maintaining high process reliability for textile manufacturers.
The company said in a press release on April 29 that the additions—BEZAKTIV Fuchsia S-W and BEZAKTIV Midnight Blue S-W—are designed to complement the existing range by introducing new shades without compromising performance consistency in reactive dyeing processes.
Reactive dyes remain central to cotton and cellulosic fibre coloration, where reproducibility and wash durability are critical for large-scale production. The newly introduced dyes address these industry requirements by delivering high multiple wash fastness, ensuring fabrics retain their colour intensity and freshness even after repeated laundering cycles.

According to the CHT Group, both dyes demonstrate low sensitivity to process variations, enabling consistent outcomes across different dyeing conditions. This “right-first-time” performance is particularly valued by mills seeking to reduce reprocessing rates, lower water and energy consumption, and stabilise production output.
The expansion also reflects growing demand from brands and manufacturers for broader colour palettes without sacrificing operational efficiency. BEZAKTIV Fuchsia S-W is tailored for light pink to medium red tones, while BEZAKTIV Midnight Blue S-W targets medium to deep bluish shades, widening the achievable spectrum for designers and dye houses.
In addition to wash durability, the dyes exhibit strong light fastness, a key parameter for textiles exposed to prolonged sunlight or intensive use. This characteristic supports applications in both apparel and home textiles, where colour longevity remains a critical quality benchmark.
Sustainability considerations are also embedded in the new product development. The dyes are metal-free and comply with DIN EN ISO 14362-1:2007-05, which regulates the presence of certain harmful arylamines such as para-chloroaniline. Compliance with such standards is increasingly important as global brands tighten chemical management protocols under frameworks like ZDHC and other restricted substances lists.
Industry analysts note that innovations in dye chemistry are becoming more focused on balancing environmental compliance with production efficiency. Solutions that reduce process variability while maintaining high fastness properties can help textile producers meet both regulatory and commercial pressures.
