Spanish materials science company Recover™ has launched a new portfolio of ready-to-use recycled cotton yarns, aiming to accelerate the global adoption of recycled fibers across the textile and apparel industry.

The newly introduced Recover™ Yarns are designed to simplify the integration of recycled cotton into manufacturing processes, offering pre-developed, scalable yarn solutions suitable for a wide range of applications. These include denim, workwear, jersey, and woven fabrics, segments that collectively account for a substantial share of global textile consumption.

The initiative marks a strategic step by Recover™ to move beyond fiber production and strengthen its presence across the textile value chain, from raw materials to finished garments.

“By translating our fiber into ready-to-use yarns, we are making it easier for brands and manufacturers to move from ambition to implementation in their sustainable strategy,” said Anders Sjoblom, Chief Executive Officer of Recover™.

The yarns are developed in collaboration with the company’s global network of spinning partners, ensuring compatibility with existing industrial processes. This approach aims to address one of the key barriers in scaling recycled materials—technical integration within established manufacturing systems.

Industry stakeholders have long cited challenges such as inconsistent fiber quality, processing limitations, and cost concerns as obstacles to adopting recycled cotton at scale. Recover™’s new offering seeks to mitigate these issues by delivering standardized yarns that can be directly used without requiring extensive modifications to machinery or workflows.

“Recover™ Yarns addresses the need for adaptable product solutions that enable the integration of recycled cotton at scale,” said Enes Adak, Chief Product Officer at Recover™.

The launch comes amid growing pressure on the fashion and textile industry to reduce its environmental footprint. Cotton production is resource-intensive, requiring significant water, land, and chemical inputs. Recycled cotton offers a lower-impact alternative, helping reduce waste and reliance on virgin materials.

According to industry estimates, textile waste continues to rise globally, with millions of tonnes discarded annually. Initiatives such as Recover™ Yarns align with broader circular economy goals by extending the lifecycle of cotton fibers and reducing landfill waste.

Recover™ has positioned itself as a key player in this transition, supplying recycled cotton fiber to global brands and manufacturers. With the addition of yarns to its portfolio, the company is seeking to streamline supply chains and provide more comprehensive solutions to its partners.

Analysts say the move reflects a broader trend in the textile sector, where companies are increasingly offering integrated solutions rather than standalone materials. By bridging the gap between fiber production and fabric manufacturing, suppliers can reduce friction in adoption and accelerate sustainability efforts.

The company noted that the yarns are designed to meet the performance and quality standards required for industrial-scale production, ensuring they can be used in both mass-market and premium applications.

Recover™ Yarns are available starting immediately, the company said, signaling readiness to meet growing demand from brands seeking to incorporate recycled content into their collections.

As regulatory scrutiny and consumer awareness around sustainability continue to intensify, industry players are under increasing pressure to demonstrate measurable progress. Solutions that enable rapid and scalable adoption of recycled materials are expected to play a critical role in shaping the future of the sector.

With its latest launch, Recover™ aims to position itself not only as a fiber innovator but as a comprehensive enabler of circular textile production.
