The latest edition of the Kingpins Show Amsterdam opened on Wednesday, bringing together global denim mills, manufacturers and fashion brands at the SugarFactory venue to showcase innovations shaping the future of the jeanswear industry.
Held twice a year in Amsterdam, the invitation-only sourcing event has built a reputation as one of the most influential platforms in the denim sector, with a tightly curated exhibitor list and a strong emphasis on sustainability and next-generation materials. Industry professionals from across Europe, Asia and the Americas are attending the two-day event, which runs through April 16.
Organised by Olah Inc., Kingpins is known for spotlighting emerging technologies in fabric development, dyeing, washing and finishing processes. This year’s showcase highlights include advancements in water-saving dye techniques, recycled and bio-based fibres, and traceability solutions aimed at improving transparency across the supply chain.
A central feature of the show is the “Jeanius Hub,” where innovators present circular manufacturing concepts, automation technologies and fibre-to-fibre recycling systems. The exhibition also features its signature “Boxes” installations, offering a forward-looking view of denim trends, design directions and consumer shifts.

As regulatory pressure mounts on the global fashion industry to reduce environmental impact, exhibitors and attendees are placing increased focus on scalable solutions that can be adopted commercially. Many mills are presenting low-impact denim collections aligned with stricter sustainability benchmarks, while brands are exploring partnerships to accelerate the transition toward circular production models.
The event comes at a time when demand for responsibly produced denim is rising, particularly in key European markets. Industry insiders say Kingpins provides a critical meeting point for suppliers and buyers seeking to align on innovation, cost efficiency and compliance in an increasingly complex sourcing landscape.
With its niche focus and high-level audience, Kingpins Amsterdam continues to serve as a barometer for where the denim industry is headed, particularly as sustainability moves from a differentiator to a baseline expectation across global supply chains.
