The discussion highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, data analysis and sustainability in shaping the future of textile and apparel manufacturing. Speakers also emphasised the importance of communication, problem-solving, continuous learning, upskilling and reskilling as industry professionals adapt to changing technologies and global market demands.

Md. Salauddin stressed that academic qualifications alone would not be sufficient to meet the demands of the evolving job market. Future textile and RMG professionals must complement their academic knowledge with practical industry experience, technological proficiency and the ability to adapt to emerging industry requirements.

The webinar formed part of the ongoing knowledge-sharing initiatives of Bunon and TGM Blog, which aim to bridge the gap between industry experience and the next generation of textile and apparel professionals.

The active participation of students and industry professionals underscored the growing interest in future-ready skills and the need to prepare Bangladesh’s emerging workforce for the technological and operational changes reshaping the global apparel industry.
