Cascale, the global nonprofit alliance previously known as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, has announced the appointment of Harsh Saini as its interim CEO, effective August 1 2025. The decision follows the conclusion of Colin Browne’s tenure and comes at a critical moment as the organization accelerates its 2025 strategic initiatives.
Currently a member of Cascale’s Board of Directors, Saini brings over 30 years of international leadership experience in the consumer goods industry. Her executive background includes senior roles at global giants such as The Fung Group and Nike. She also serves on the boards of Global Fashion Agenda, PUMA, and Worldly, giving her a comprehensive view of the industry’s evolving priorities and challenges. Having spent 25 years living and working in Asia, Saini is now based in the United Kingdom.
“Harsh’s appointment ensures continuity during a critical phase of implementation,” said Tamar Hoek, Cascale Board Chair and Senior Policy Director Sustainable Fashion at Solidaridad. “She knows our organization well, understands the landscape, and brings both strategic vision and operational insight. We’re confident she will support the team and help accelerate our work on climate and decent work.”
Saini takes the helm at a pivotal time for Cascale as it builds on the foundational work completed in 2024. With a renewed focus on execution, deepened member engagement, and a stronger push for unified, measurable impact across the consumer goods value chain, the organization is positioned to play a key leadership role in advancing sustainability, climate action, and decent work standards across the global apparel and footwear industry.
