Yarn Expo Autumn 2025, Asia’s leading yarn and fibre trade fair, will run from September 2–4 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai, featuring over 500 exhibitors from across the globe. Organisers say the event will focus heavily on sustainable textile solutions and innovation in yarn production.
The exhibitor list includes national pavilions from India (with nearly 20 companies), Pakistan, and Taiwan, alongside suppliers from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, and New Zealand. The show will feature an International Yarn Zone and six dedicated product zones: Chemical Fibre, Cotton Yarn, Fancy Yarn, Linen Yarn, Silk Yarn, and Wool Yarn.
Notable names exhibiting include Abtex International, Coreshtech, Docotton Group, Hai Thien Synthetic Fiber, Perino by Woolyarns, Sematex For Flax Products, and The Movement.
Sustainability in the Spotlight
Yarn Expo Autumn 2025 is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network and will implement the Econogy Check – an independent verification tool aligned with over 100 international sustainability certifications. Exhibitors who pass will be listed on the Econogy Finder, a physical and online directory for sourcing sustainable suppliers.
Additional green initiatives include the Econogy Hub, Econogy Talks, and Econogy Tours, all designed to connect buyers with eco-conscious manufacturers. Featured innovations will include recycled yarn, biodegradable fibres, and waterless dyeing technologies.
Industry Trends and Innovation
The three-day programme will also host high-profile fringe events:
- New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum
- Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends 2025/2026 Display
- China Yarn Fashion Trends 2025/2026 Press Conference
The event runs alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, creating a comprehensive sourcing platform for the yarn, fibre, apparel fabric, and knitted garment sectors. Organisers expect this convergence to boost business networking and international trade opportunities.
Analysts say the show’s strong sustainability agenda aligns with growing global demand for eco-friendly textiles, particularly in markets with stricter environmental regulations.
