Officials from the Maharashtra Economic Development Council said the state would continue to support global manufacturers seeking long-term investments. “Our objective is to provide a stable and growth-oriented industrial environment that enables technology leaders like Rieter to scale and innovate in Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said, according to participants at the meeting.

Rieter has operated in India for decades, supplying complete spinning systems and advanced machinery to textile producers as the country modernises its yarn and fabric manufacturing capacity. “We are focused on supporting Indian customers with end-to-end solutions that improve productivity, energy efficiency and yarn quality,” Deka said.

As part of the forum’s program to promote global industrial and technological collaboration, a senior delegation from the Sakal Global Impact Forum visited the Rieter Campus in Winterthur. During a tour of the company’s competence centre, delegates were shown advanced manufacturing processes, sustainable production technologies and system innovations designed to reduce environmental impact across textile production.

“The visit demonstrated how technology and sustainability can go hand in hand in strengthening global textile value chains,” said Dr. Nilesh Khare, chief editor of the Sakal Media Group.

Rieter said the engagement aligns with its broader strategy of advancing technological innovation and sustainability while building long-term partnerships with policymakers and industry stakeholders to support the continued growth of textile ecosystems in key markets such as India.
