German thread manufacturer Amann has launched a new UV‑resistant recycled embroidery thread, providing textile makers, fashion brands, and designers with a sustainable solution for durable, sunlight-proof embroidery. The newly introduced Isacord Recycled UV thread is designed to maintain vibrant colors and high performance even after prolonged exposure to sunlight, expanding Amann’s portfolio of eco-friendly and high-performance embroidery threads.

Made from 100 percent recycled polyester and certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Isacord Recycled UV combines sustainability with industrial-grade durability. Premium dyes with integrated UV absorbers ensure long-lasting color retention, while the thread’s excellent abrasion resistance guarantees reliable performance on high-speed embroidery machines. The product is designed for applications where textiles are exposed to harsh sunlight, such as outdoor apparel, backpacks, signage, awnings, and technical textiles.

It is further Pro-Care certified for industrial laundry durability according to DIN EN ISO 15797, ensuring that embroidered items withstand frequent washing and industrial cleaning processes without loss of quality. These certifications reflect growing industry demands for materials that combine sustainability, safety, and long-lasting performance.
