More than 160 editions in, the ILM International Leather Goods Fair returns to Messe Offenbach from August 29 to 31, 2026, drawing leather goods, luggage and accessories brands from across the globe for its twice-yearly gathering of the industry’s biggest names.

Organizers describe the fair, now in its 164th edition, as the world’s most important marketplace for bags, travel articles, school bags and accessories, a title the show has held for more than seven decades. A single three-day ticket grants buyers, wholesalers, manufacturers and media unrestricted access to the exhibition halls for the fair’s full run.

The event’s exhibitor roster reads like a who’s who of the luggage and leather goods trade. Samsonite, Tumi, Victorinox, Bric’s, Picard, Braun Büffel, Porsche Design, Kipling, Eastpak, VAUDE and Deuter are among the brands that have shown at recent editions, alongside newer entrants such as sustainability-focused bag maker GOT BAG.

The fair’s ILM Accessories segment is designed to give smaller and emerging labels — spanning belts, gloves, wallets and umbrellas — a route to the same specialist trade audience courted by the established players.

Executives who have exhibited at ILM point to face-to-face access as the fair’s central draw. Several brand leaders have credited the show with offering direct engagement with international trade visitors without the need for prior appointments, an advantage they say sets it apart from standard showroom presentations. Others describe ILM as the primary venue for gauging shifts in the luggage market and forging relationships with retailers and designers from around the world.

The fair takes place amid continued volatility in global trade and sourcing patterns for leather goods and accessories, making in-person forums like ILM a touchpoint for manufacturers and buyers navigating shifting demand and input costs. Messe Offenbach has already confirmed dates for the 2027 edition, underscoring the show’s twice-a-year cadence.

ILM organizers have also expanded engagement channels ahead of the August edition, including a dedicated WhatsApp newsletter and chat for updates. A press area on the fair’s website offers journalists access to press releases and kits tied to the current edition.

The fair is held at Messe Offenbach, Kaiserstraße 108-112, in Offenbach am Main, with registration open to exhibitors and visitors ahead of the August dates.

Beyond the show floor, ILM has positioned itself as a venue for industry dialogue, hosting talks and panel discussions intended to give attendees insight into design trends, materials innovation and market dynamics shaping the leather goods and travel accessories sector. Organizers say the format is meant to pair commercial networking with substantive industry knowledge-sharing over the fair’s three-day run.
