The international denim industry will reconvene in eastern China next year as Kingpins China returns to Hangzhou on May 21–22, 2026, bringing together global suppliers, manufacturers and buyers for a focused sourcing and innovation showcase, according to the organiser.
The event, part of the wider Kingpins Show network, will take place in Hangzhou, a major textile and manufacturing hub in Zhejiang province, and will continue its positioning as a specialised platform for the denim supply chain rather than a broad-based apparel trade fair.
Organised by Kingpins Show, the event is designed as an invitation-led forum for the international denim community, connecting mills, garment manufacturers, wash houses, trim suppliers and sourcing professionals in a tightly curated business environment. The platform has evolved since its inception in New York in 2004 into a global meeting point for denim-focused trade and innovation discussions.

The 2026 Hangzhou edition is expected to maintain that format, prioritising direct engagement between buyers and suppliers across the denim value chain. Industry participants typically include fabric mills, full-package garment manufacturers, finishing specialists and technology-driven textile solution providers, reflecting the show’s focus on end-to-end sourcing and production collaboration.
According to the organiser, Kingpins operates as an “information, ideas and innovation network” for the denim sector, with an emphasis on facilitating long-term industry relationships rather than high-volume transactional trade activity. The Hangzhou show continues this model by creating a concentrated environment for sourcing decisions and supply chain dialogue.

A key focus of the event is denim innovation, including fabric development, finishing techniques and manufacturing processes. Sustainability and production efficiency are also expected to remain central themes, reflecting wider industry pressure to improve transparency, reduce environmental impact and strengthen supply chain accountability across textile production hubs.
Hangzhou’s role as host city underscores China’s continuing importance in global apparel manufacturing and textile innovation. The city’s proximity to established production clusters and export infrastructure has made it an increasingly strategic location for international sourcing events targeting Asian supply chains.

The Kingpins China 2026 edition comes amid ongoing shifts in global apparel sourcing, as brands and manufacturers adjust to changing demand patterns, cost pressures and sustainability requirements. The denim sector, in particular, continues to face scrutiny over water usage, chemical processing and circular production models, driving increased interest in innovation-led supply chain platforms.
The organiser said the show will continue to function as a curated networking environment designed to connect decision-makers across the denim ecosystem, reinforcing its role as a specialised trade hub for the global jeanswear industry.
As the industry navigates structural transformation and sustainability expectations, the Hangzhou event is expected to serve as a key meeting point for denim stakeholders seeking sourcing solutions, material innovation and collaborative production partnerships heading into the 2026 cycle.
