The Career Counselling and Placement Centre (CCPC) of Stamford University Bangladesh organised the expo in collaboration with JCI Dhaka Diplomats, JCI Dhaka Heritage and JCI Dhaka Impact.
The event provided students and fresh graduates with opportunities to interact directly with prospective employers, explore job and internship opportunities, and gain information about career paths and workplace expectations, according to the organisers.
The expo also featured career counselling, professional development activities, and sessions led by industry professionals covering areas including information technology, leadership, entrepreneurship, and banking and finance.
Among the featured session speakers were A. S. M. Shamim Reza, who discussed building a career in information technology; Md Altamis Nabil, who addressed leadership skills; Tashdik Habib, who spoke on developing an entrepreneurship mindset; and Md Shahriar Imran, who shared insights into careers in banking.
The organisers said the event was designed to help bridge the gap between academic education and professional careers by giving students greater exposure to employers and the skills expected in the workplace.
Career Expo 2026 also provided an opportunity for participating organisations to engage with potential recruits and strengthen connections with students and graduates.
Stamford University Bangladesh said career-focused initiatives such as the expo form part of its efforts to prepare students and graduates for employment and strengthen engagement between academia and industry.
The university’s Career Counselling and Placement Centre, together with the participating JCI organisations, invited students, alumni and professionals to take part in the programme and use the career and networking opportunities available at the expo.
