Among the year’s highlights, CHT received the German Sustainability Award 2026 in the product category for its PIGMENTURA dyeing process, which the company said combines resource efficiency with customer value. The group also retained an EcoVadis Gold rating with a score of 81 points, placing it among the top 5% of companies in its industry globally. Additionally, CHT was recognized as a Best Managed Company 2026 under a program organized by Deloitte Private, UBS, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI).

The report said CHT aligned its sustainability reporting with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) to improve the transparency and comparability of its sustainability performance. The company also completed a global climate and water risk assessment across all production sites during 2025, identifying measures to mitigate future environmental risks.

To reduce its carbon footprint, CHT switched to renewable electricity at facilities in the United Kingdom, Brazil and Shanghai while investing in a photovoltaic system at its Torreón site. The company also continued projects such as a biomass-based heating system at its Dußlingen facility.

The chemicals producer said it introduced an automated Product Carbon Footprint calculation system to provide product-level emissions data, enabling targeted emission reduction initiatives throughout its value chain.

On the social front, CHT said more than 95% of its global workforce already receives compensation above the respective living wage level, with the company targeting full coverage by 2030.

The company said the developments demonstrate that sustainability is becoming a measurable management tool while continuing to drive innovation and long-term business growth.

Headquartered in Tübingen, Germany, the CHT Group employs around 2,500 people across 26 production sites worldwide. The company reported €572 million in group revenue for the 2025 financial year and supplies specialty chemical solutions for the textile, industrial and functional chemicals sectors.
