Six international exhibitions covering construction, real estate, power, solar energy, lighting, and water and wastewater management will open in Dhaka on November 12, organisers said on Tuesday.

The concurrent shows will run from November 12 to 14 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), open daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm. They are organised by New York-based Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS-Global USA).

More than 200 exhibitors from over 20 countries, including China, Germany, India, Japan, Sri Lanka and Turkey, are expected to take part, organisers said. The events will feature over 500 booths and international pavilions and are expected to draw more than 20,000 business visitors.

The line-up includes the 31st Build Bangladesh and 25th Real Estate Expo, the 28th Power Bangladesh, 23rd Solar Bangladesh and 8th Dhaka International Lighting Expo, and the 8th Water Bangladesh International Expo. Organisers describe Build Bangladesh as the country’s largest and longest-running international exhibition focused on building and construction. Participants named by organisers include Siemens, Huawei, Rahimafrooz, Zoomlion, LESSO Bangladesh and Walton. A Sri Lanka Pavilion will operate with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board.

The shows will also host the DELTA Award for Architecture, which recognises sustainable and context-responsive building design in Bangladesh. The International Finance Corporation, the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group, is the strategic partner. The awards ceremony will be held on November 10 at ICCB, followed by a three-day Delta Festival of Architecture from November 12 to 14.

Seminars on construction, renewable energy, lighting and water will run alongside the exhibitions. Organisers said bringing the shows together would widen networking opportunities for local and international companies, engineers, architects and buyers.

CEMS-Global, established in 1992, says it has organised more than 762 trade shows worldwide, with a portfolio spanning textiles, power, construction and healthcare.
