Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition will return to Shanghai from Aug. 25 to 27, bringing global textile suppliers and buyers together as the industry faces rising demand for sustainable materials, advanced functionality and digital solutions.
The exhibition will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), reinforcing its role as a major sourcing platform for the global apparel textile industry. The event is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry of CCPIT and the China Textile Information Center.
The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on high-growth areas including advanced functional textiles, sustainability solutions and digital transformation. Organisers said the fair will also introduce a stronger focus on pet textiles and climate-adaptive innovation, reflecting emerging consumer demand and changing product requirements.
The event comes after a strong showing in 2025, when more than 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions participated and over 100,000 buyers from 123 countries and regions attended. The exhibition covered about 240,000 square metres, highlighting its scale as an international sourcing and networking platform.

Sustainability will be a major component of the 2026 programme through the Econogy Hub, which will highlight sustainable material innovation and evolving sourcing priorities. The fair will also feature programmes covering design and trends, market information and business strategies, as well as technology and solutions.
The Intertextile Directions trend programme will provide further insight into upcoming consumer, colour and fabric trends, while seminars and forums will address developments shaping the next generation of textile products.
The exhibition will take place alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC and PH Value, bringing together different parts of the textile and apparel supply chain at the Shanghai venue. Organisers said the combined events are expected to provide buyers with broader sourcing opportunities across fibres, yarns, fabrics, fashion and related products.
For international textile manufacturers and suppliers, the fair offers an opportunity to strengthen relationships with buyers in China and the wider Asian market. The organiser said overseas suppliers can use the Shanghai editions to expand their regional presence and develop new business relationships.
The 2026 edition is scheduled to open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Admission is free for trade visitors, with online pre-registration required at least one day before attendance.
