Texworld New York City marks its 20th anniversary this week, with the biannual textile sourcing trade show opening at the Javits Center from July 29 to 31, drawing global manufacturers and U.S. buyers to what organizers describe as the largest textile and apparel sourcing event on the East Coast.

The event, produced by Messe Frankfurt, is co-located this edition with Printsource and Home Textiles Sourcing NYC, consolidating fabric, trim, surface-design and home-textile sourcing under one roof for visiting brands and manufacturers. Hundreds of international exhibitors are expected to showcase fabrics, trims and accessories spanning apparel, activewear and home textile categories, continuing a run that began two decades ago as a hub connecting overseas mills with U.S. sourcing teams.

Sustainability remains a central theme this edition through the show’s Econogy platform, alongside a dedicated Deadstock Sourcing feature spotlighting upcycled fabrics and conscious design as brands face mounting pressure to cut waste and verify supply-chain provenance. The Trend Showcase, curated by Paris-based forecasting agency Peclers Paris, will preview Fall/Winter 27/28 directions, giving buyers an early read on color, fiber and silhouette trends heading into next year’s collections.

Additional programming includes the Innovation Hub, featuring performance fibers and material technology, Exhibitor Pitch sessions where suppliers present directly to attendees, and Textile Talks, a discussion series covering sourcing strategy and industry growth. Show partners this edition include the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Taiwan Textile Federation, Peclers Paris and Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of Light Industry, reflecting the show’s continued reliance on international manufacturing hubs even as U.S. buyers navigate shifting tariff and compliance pressures.

The gathering underscores Texworld NYC’s role as a recurring barometer for East Coast sourcing activity, bringing suppliers and buyers together twice yearly amid an increasingly complex global trade environment for textiles and apparel.
