A delegation of 11 representatives from Bangladesh is participating in TECNA 2026 in Rimini, Italy, as the country’s ceramic industry seeks to strengthen international business connections, explore advanced technologies and expand opportunities for cooperation with Italian companies.
The delegation, facilitated by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Dhaka, comprises representatives from 10 Bangladeshi ceramic companies and one representative from the country’s ceramic industry association.
TECNA 2026, the international exhibition for ceramic and surface technologies, is being held from Sept. 22 to 25 at the Rimini Expo Centre. The event is organised by Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with ACIMAC, the Italian Association of Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers.

The exhibition brings together companies and professionals involved in ceramic production, raw materials, automation, logistics, surface decoration, digitalisation and sustainable technologies. The 2026 edition also features dedicated programmes covering Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, robotics, circular economy and ESG.
The Bangladeshi delegation is using the exhibition as a platform to explore new ceramic manufacturing technologies, machinery and production solutions, while engaging with international suppliers, technology providers and potential business partners.
Bangladesh is also represented at the exhibition by the Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA), which is participating at Booth D5/408. The association said its participation is aimed at bringing Bangladesh’s ceramic industry to the global stage and creating opportunities for international networking and collaboration.
TECNA has a strong international focus. The 2026 edition features 310 brands, with 39% coming from 19 countries outside Italy, including Bangladesh, according to sector publication CER PRESS.
The exhibition is also expected to facilitate business meetings between international buyers and technology suppliers. Organisers had reported more than 250 international buyers participating in the event’s buyer programme ahead of the opening.
For Bangladesh’s ceramic manufacturers, participation in TECNA provides opportunities to examine technologies that could support production efficiency, automation, product development and more sustainable manufacturing.
The event also comes as Bangladesh’s ceramic industry continues to develop its international market and technology links. Engagement with Italian machinery and technology companies could create opportunities for technology partnerships, investment and knowledge exchange between the two countries.
TECNA 2026 is being held across four days at the Rimini Expo Centre, with visitors able to explore the latest technologies and solutions across ceramics and the wider surfaces industry. The exhibition runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Sept. 22 to 24 and until 4 p.m. on Sept. 25.
The participation of the Bangladeshi delegation, alongside BCMEA’s presence, is expected to provide further opportunities for Bangladeshi ceramic businesses to connect with Italian technology providers, international buyers and industry stakeholders, supporting stronger Bangladesh-Italy commercial ties in the ceramic sector.
